About Me

Inspire Cycle Coaching is run by me Chris Pyatt and I have been cycling for 40 years. In my racing career I won medals in the National Track Championships as a youth, junior and senior achieving 3 National titles and 19 other silver and bronze medals.. As a junior and senior rider I was a member of the Great Britain Team and represented  my country at European and World Championships. As a Masters rider I have won World and National titles on the track along with a number of silver and bronze medals.

On the road I won a round of the National Junior Road Race series and won numerous road and circuit races as a 1st category rider. I have also raced abroad on the road competing in events in Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Austria and Greece.

I have been coaching riders on a one to one basis for 12 years and over this period I have coached 7 riders who have then moved on to the Great Britain  Team. I have coached 4 other riders to Professional teams with one now a member of a World Tour Squad.  In total I have been the coach of riders who have won 9 National titles .

On a managers level I have managed teams who have competed in European Championships and also managed regional teams at the UK School Games.

As well as coaching riders on a one to one basis I also coach weekly sessions at the Lyme Valley Velodrome, Newcastle under Lyme.

My aim is to help every rider I coach to achieve their goals. I take a personal interest in every rider I coach as I pass on my years of experience to them with a view to improve their skills, knowledge and speed on the bike.
